Fascinating read. As someone who comes from a Buddhist background and teaches mindfulness in mental health setting I have been looking into the safety of using these techniques and how to frame it in a secular space so that they can take on the useful practices without having the Buddhist context. It has been requiring a sensitivity with regards to so much you mention and openness to work with individuals experiences.
