I have lived decades with myalgic encephalomyelitis and what I am seeing happening is a repeat of the minimizing reality of illness & marginalization of patients.
I see the root issue as being vague criteria codified in the ICD coding.
Without stratification of patients who do and don't have post-exertional neuroimmune exhaustion (more accurate than PEM), we are at the mercy of those who would sweep us under the rug.
